Formulation and Assessment of Delayed/Slow-Release Diclofenac Sodium Edible Organogel Utilizing Low Molecular Weight Organogelators

Organogel as a system was to estimate its capacity delay and slow the drug release in duodenum. The gelators, 12HSA (12-hydroxystearic acid), span 60. 40 were used; castor oil (CO) anise (AO) also represented liquid phase. To achieve goal of this work by using diclofenac sodium (DS). Organogels specifications estimating thermal attitude tabletop rheology differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). organogel strength study applying oscillatory tests amplitude sweep frequency sweep. Realizing morphology done utilizing an optical microscope. CO AO binding manifested. transition temperatures for all organogels reversible. Imaging demonstrated spherulites aggregates while 60 both oils existed fibers aggregates. Furthermore, exhibited viscoelastic characteristics 20 wt% frequency-independent. results revealed that HPMC capsule containing resisted dissolution acidic media two hours. Moreover, slowed DS 24 hours alkaline medium. Finally, selected high capacity.
